Handfasting Ceremonies

Tying the knot originates from an old pagan custom where red cord or ribbon was tied around the wrists of a couple in love. It symbolised their desire to be together and commit their love for each other.

The ‘wedding’ usually takes place outdoors such as a field or a lake. Somewhere close to nature or of personal relevance to you. It is common practice to hold the ceremony during the  Summer Solstice or on Mayday. If you and your partner have been together for a while, this may be the wedding for you!

DIY

If you are enjoying planning your special day but just need some help at the end, then let us provide you with our ’ wedding day  co-ordinating service’. We will arrive on the day and provide a  discreet presence to  co-ordinate, liaise and supervise. We will ensure that your day runs smoothly. This gives you the time to enjoy, relax!
